Tab Trade — The Short Version
Tab Trade opened in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, under Saint Lucia's FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, a New Zealand-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection is relevant. It suggests the founder has actually done this before. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. It is more reassuring than a random name you cannot trace.
The broker opened with Equinix data centre access in London. Same data centres institutional desks use. The typical new launch leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade went the other way. Interesting choice.
Market coverage: FX, indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, shares, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For something that is a few months old, that range is not narrow.
What You Trade On
You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Both platforms from one account. Many commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both makes a difference. Pick what suits your style.
MT5 is the default. Full charting, Expert Advisors, massive community. If you have traded on MetaTrader previously, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better depth of market. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 after comparing.
FIX API is available for algo traders but is only on the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is said to be in the works. That would be a good addition when it arrives.
Costs
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Works for people who want simple pricing.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is often a fraction of a pip. So your all-in cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that offer pricing like this ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. TabTrade requires zero deposit.
VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, faster fills, negotiated fees. Not for typical accounts. Skip it unless you move real size.
Execution Speed
The execution is the thing this broker actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Under 30ms on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. Those are proper execution targets. The average platform operate at 100ms to 300ms.
Does this affect you? For short-term trading, it does. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. The point is they invested in proper execution. That signals something about priorities.
Pair that infrastructure with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the total package is strong. Few brokers at this price point offer execution like this.
Regulation
Here is the part you need to be straight about. TabTrade is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No CySEC. No government-backed safety net. If the lack of tier-1 regulation makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. There are ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
However. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The server placement costs real money. Scam brokers do not bother with proper execution infrastructure. That does not make it safe. But inform your assessment.
The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether the trade-off works comes down to your priorities.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade runs a deposit bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Standard welcome offer. You put money in, TabTrade credit extra capital. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Review the fine print before you deposit.
